When I left Newsweek Magazine after a career as a writer, editor and foreign correspondent, I thought I would try teaching and books, then settle on whichever I liked best. Over time, I discovered that I like both best. I am an associate professor at The City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism, where we are helping young reporters and writers develop professional standards for the information age. I also have found quality time to edit, ghostwrite and collaborate on books. I am a nomad of the Eastern corridor, with homes in New York and Washington, and have book projects in both cities. I am always eager for new assignments. I hope this site will serve as my electronic business card and, in the “Notes” section, let you know what I think about things.
